There is quite a bit of skepticism as to how HAND$ DOWN!! the hardest band to hit the streets in ages started. No, none of the rumors about us are true. They were not genetically brought to life by the cells of the hardest rockers in musical history. No, they were not raised by a gang of highway renegades and forced to do battle against other series of hopeless youths. It's all right here.

While hardcore was at an all-time low, three schoolyard friends, Sluggo McFearson, Danny Danger and Johnny Bang became afilliated by meeting at a series of hardcore shows. The word hardcore had been being thrown around all too easily during this period of time and the meaning had been butchered. They didn't take too kindly to this change. So they started jamming and playing old hardcore classics (Warzone's As One, Agnostic Front's Eliminator, Madball's Set it off, and Fury Of Five's Taste The Steel)  just to kill time and remind them of the ethics that had appeared to be forgotten in the scene at the time. This was the dusk of what is known today as, HANDS$ DOWN!! As time went by due to some problems with women and his solo rap career, Danny Danger had to move on to other things. There was also one guitarist before the one you know and love now and he went by the name of Clammy Hand$ Down. It was fun for a while, but things change, people sell out, and shit goes sour. You might see him at a HANDS DOWN!! show now and then if he isn't practicing with his softer than all hell band I Fold and if he can get passed the bouncer. Not too long after that, they met up with another friend of theirs, Micky Vendetta, former guitarist of Hard Street Fist Hounds. He was a soft spoken child, but once he picked up his axe, he was ready to raise hell and unleash face-melting solos. The new crew he rolled with brought out a side of him his mother has never seen. The trio began writing some original songs such as Schoolhouse Rumble and the bone crunching Time For A Fight.(Good luck finding those out of print limited edition 7"s.) After years without a bassist, Robbie Apocolypse who had been a long time admirer of HAND$ DOWN!! jumped on the wagon for a ride he would never forget. Completing the foursome, Robbie Apocalypse also plays with Fine Line and All Or None who HAND$ DOWN!! completed their first U.S. tour with.

Hang tight for more on the exciting origin of HAND$ DOWN!!!
